HKS Turbo Actuator

I've been looking for one of these for so long now, and when this one came up at auction I was heaps stoked. Currently i'm running an R32 Actuator which is suppose to hold 10psi of boost, but the HKS Turbo Actuator for the 33/34 can hold between 11.9psi to 14 odd psi.

Installation took about 15 minutes, and i quickly dialed in 11.9psi of boost. It does a brilliant job of holding boost, and was a great replacement for both my R32 actuator and my Blitz DSBC Spec R electronic boost controller.

R34 GTR Door Sills

Been a while since posts, but i've been pretty busy with work and stuff. So sorry about that, i'll bring this blog back to life. :)

Anyhow, I spotted these lovely R34 GTR metal door sills on an internet forum and had to grab them. They're original and they fit straight into the R34 GTT coupe.. all the plastic pins fit in perfectly in case you're wondering. It's fantastic quality I must say.

Project 200ZR!

Ok, so our good mate Thi (or as we call him T-Bag) has been keeping his new project under wraps for a good couple of months.

He's a self-confessed Nissan 200ZR from nutter, so this will be his second 200ZR. The 200ZR is essentially a Z31 300zx with an RB20DET under the hood.

Anyhow, it's arrived in Australia and is currently in a secret location somewhere in Adelaide. :)

Enjoy the pics.

Nissans.... Part I - The 1980's.

Okay, this will be my first Blogspot post, so i'm going to ramble a little about Nissan in the 1980's.

When probably half my audience we're probably still a twinkle in their daddy's eye, Nissan had just rebranded from Datsun and underwent a period of puberty. When I say puberty I mean, they were experimenting with certain ideas and playing with technologies ... trying to find out what the public thought was sexy. Sometimes they got it right, sometimes they got it wrong, and sometimes they come out with something that polarizes the public.

One such car was my real 'first' car. The Nissan N13 EXA. Designed to be a sports homologation of the Nissan Pulsar at the time, and first shown as a concept called the NX21.

The NX21

My EXA just before I sold it.

The NX21 concept had twin ceramic turbocharges was mid-mounted, and drove the rear wheels. What that eventually led to in production was a fairly unexciting non-turbo 1.8L front wheel drive.

But what it did have was versatility. It was and could be all of the above :
* roofless (through targa roofs)
* bootless like a convertible (the rear hatch was removable)
* a wagon (through the wagon attachment you see above)
* a soft back (through the replacement of the boot with a durable leather cloth)

No other car before or since had this sort of flexibility. The options were countless. Some days i'd feel like driving a wagon, i'd put the wagon attachment on. Somedays I wanted a convertible, I took both targa roof and the boot off. And so on.

If you ever get a chance to own one of these cars, i'd highly recommend it.
