Rescuing the Diahatsu Charade from Swirl City

Long weekend, thought i'd do some paint correction on Dad's Charade.

Due to Dad's parking spot being relegated from shade to sun in the past year, it's developed plenty of swirls.  On top of that frequent washing due to bird splatter and just general dust, has made the situation even worse.

Still, paint work could've been worse had it not been for his frequent application of Meguiars Tech Wax 2.0 Sealant.

So I thought it was time to break out the dual action polisher on this long weekend.

And the result :

Lexus to debut the new CT-200h - worlds first premium sports hatch hybrid .. god that's a mouthful.

Yeah looks like this bad boy's going on show in early March at the Geneva Motorshow, Lexus are a bit cagey with actual figures like horsepower and weight figures.  But what we do know is that it'll be based on their second (or third i forget now) generation hybrid synergy system, and will feature full electric driving.  But the real question is how much torque will this bolt on motor have to make the drive satisfying?

Mazda RX7 concept

What do you all think of this RX7 mockup... looks like they swallowed an RX8 and chopped off a couple of rear doors to me.


Hopefully they'll be able to cram in a nice turbocharged renesis motor into that thing :)

Which is a play on our little car social group name LRC (don't ask me what it stands for, only charlie over at lrcrx7.wordpress.com knows), and a future branch we're starting.. well i'm starting (heh) called the VIP Division.. which takes it's name from the VIP styling sub-culture in Japanese automotive.
